5/2=15 in Bee math. Making some intentionally weaker than normal splits from my education yard. Pats 1 and 2 covered preparing the splits, pulling brood into nuc boxes, and now you’ll see how I lay out a nuc yard (both medium and deep 5 frame Nucs) while waiting for queens to be installed. To answer the question “how long can or should I wait before installing queens?” You should ideally make sure they are queenless for 24 hours or control the release of the queen by taping the end for the first few days before removing the tape so the bees can release her. Remember to cut queen cells BEFORE you place the queen.
