I’ll be making sure the bees have access to some syrup this weekend. Mixing 1:1 by weight using plain white sugar from the store. I put 3 gallons of warm water from the tap, into a 5 gallon bucket, with a teaspoon of salt and a half cup of apple cider vinegar, and then stir in a 25 pound bag of sugar. I use a drill with a mixing paddle most of the time. That is unless I go in on a tote of syrup and add thymol as a preservative with my buddy Matt. This time of year with flight time shortened I use community feeders more that I do at other times. I’ll post pics of my community feeder soon. :-)
